The Fray `You Found Me` was the most played song on Australian radio in 2009 with 13,522 plays registered according to AirCheck.
Australia is certainly the 51st state of the USA according to the AirCheck figures. Australian radio failed to support Australian music with only one song, Eskimo Joe’s ‘Foreign Land’ making the top 10.
All-American Rejects, Eric Hutchinson and Rob Thomas made the top 5.
Pink, who managed to sell more than 600,000 concert tickets in the country this year registered for the sixth most played song on Australian radio with ‘Please Don’t Leave Me’.

HOLLYWOOD -- Don’t let the name fool you: The All American Rejects is not your average pop-rock band.
Taking a brief break from their headlining tour with Taking Back Sunday, the boys from Oklahoma performed two solo shows Monday and Tuesday at the legendary Roxy stage to the delight of the sold-out crowds.
AAR started its hourlong Monday set with a feisty performance of its hit “Move Along,” with lead singer Tyson Ritter appearing shirtless and covered in body glitter, moving with the swagger of a young Perry Ferrell.
The performance was somewhat of a homecoming for the Oklahoma-based group, which first graced the intimate Roxy stage eight years ago. Although most of its more well known hits seem more pop than rock, the four-piece band performed its songs with the bravado of a hard-core punk band.

The All-American Rejects are everything that a badass rock n' roll band should be.
They're dirty, but strangely debonaire. They've got attitude to spare, but can carry a pop chorus like nobody's business. They're classic in many ways, but still vibrantly alive in the here and now. That's why their first sold out show at The Roxy last night had the power to wake up the sleeping Sunset Strip.
The Strip's gone through a lot of changes in the past month—Steel Panther moved down to The House of Blues by (gasp) Sunset Plaza and the Key Club closed. The rock n' roll capital of America needed to be resurrected, and as soon as The All-American Rejects hit the stage, it came to life like it hadn't in years.
Christmas lights dangled from the ceiling like a net above the band, and AAR vocalist Tyson Ritter announced to the packed audience, "You can guy it, you can steal it, as long as you fuckin' feel it." ( ♦♦ )

One gift you are wishing for this year?
The new Super Mario Brothers on Wii.
Best holiday gift you have ever received?
My girl got me a guitar that I’d been wanting a lot for Christmas last year. That was pretty f***ing rad!
Re-gifting… Cool or Not Cool?
If it’s something the person receiving the re-gift actually appreciates, then sure, why not…
Best Holiday song (cover or original)? ( ♠ )
